cut and separate cathode tube glass.

We separate glass from monitors, old computer or television screens from the dangerous amalgamated components on the cone and the panel.

CRT monitor

CRT monitors containing leaded glass are identifiable in the waste stream and are specifically banned from disposal in our landfills. As E-Waste, they are grouped into two categories: working/repairable, and junk.It is estimated that in California alone, we will junk over 60,000 monitors this year alone. The demand for replacement monitors also is relatively simple to project. Specifically, Americans are expected to buy 50 million new monitors next year. Monitors, on average, make up 35 percent of the entire computer cost, and about half of the computer's weight.
At 5PM we make machines, like the innovative AP760 crt recycling (Patent 2007) for companies that are active in the WEEE disposal and recycling field.
Electronic waste, known as "Waste of Electric and Electronic Equipment" (WEEE) or e-waste is refuse of a particular type that consists of any electrical or electronic equipment that the user no longer wants because it is broken, not used, obsolete and destined to be abandoned Principle problems deriving from this type of WEEE refuse are the presence of substances that are considered toxic to the ambient and their non-biodegradeability. 5PM has designed and patented plants that recycle this WEEE refuse, in particular monitors, screens and cathode ray tubes.
